No A.I. Policy
Only humans are allowed to create our games.
This means that the idea, mechanics, art, design, etc. of our games, websites, and marketing are made by real people.
We know the world is changing, but we’ve seen too many sci-fi movies to let ourselves fall victim to the trend of Artificial Intelligence.
A.I. can be used as a tool (ie. Google search suggestions, Adobe Photoshop, etc.) but it should never replace the hiring of a real person.
We interview dozens of artists and the ones that we feel might be right for the job must pass an audition process before they can work with us. These talented artists meticulously spend hours making pencil/line drafts, who then adjust their designs based on our notes, before finally spending many more hours creating the fully colored version.
Our games take months (and in the case with “Out for Blood,” over a year) to design because we don’t want to rush our artists if it means diminishing the quality of their work.
And in case you can’t already tell by our enthusiasm with the fantastic artwork that our artists provide us, without a doubt it was worth the wait and every single penny.
Yes, we could’ve saved months at a time and thousands of dollars by using A.I. or an A.I. artist to design our games, but the way we see it, you can either do it cheap and quick, or you can do it right.
Thank you to all of the amazing artists that we have worked with and will continue to work with.
Sincerely,
Elijah Flores
